Well, it's taken me sometime to get all the paperwork together, but I met with the trustee today, and as of today, I'm officially bankrupt. While it kind of hurts my pride, it is a relief, in that at least I can get on with my life.

The trustee said that I'd because my income is so low, that I'd be discharged from bankruptcy in 9 months, which is pretty good. Now I just have to submit monthly income statements to the trustee for as long as I'm in bankruptcy. The only area of concern is my car - they're disputing the value of it. So I have to get it appraised.

Plus I have to go for credit counselling, which I'll freely admit I need.

So it's kind of weird, but I'm glad to have the process started.

It always feels better to do something. I understand the hurt pride and also the relief of getting all the paperwork done and filed, so you can look forward again.
