And I am not really as relieved as I thought I'd be...its more forms to fill out with more questions about things but the wording of it all kind of concerns me. I mean there were some really specific questions that where difficult because I didn't become 'disabled' on a certain date. I've had difficulties since childhood so I can't give specific dates about that...I tried explaining it as best I could about how all the conditions I have have gotten worse.
Then I don't know what to do about the job history section, I don't really have one I had two short term jobs that I don't have the information for just that i was fired after a short time and work study in college but that's supposed to be counted as financial aid I'm pretty sure. I don't know so I guess I am worried about if I will qualify or not......or if I get denied if I could even appeal it successfully. Anyways still working on filling that stuff out so I can send it back, and I am glad it's evidence that the process is moving along but still it causes me a bit of worry and unneeded stress as well. Not really sure anyone cares about more of my SSI anxieties/concerns mostly just venting. |

I went to a professional to help me. He wasn't an attorney, but he had been doing this all his life

[ I mean there were some really specific questions that where difficult because I didn't become 'disabled' on a certain date. I've had difficulties since childhood so I can't give specific dates about that...]
you can either put 'since childhood', pick a date in your childhood when you think you realised you had difficulties , or put the datewhen your difficulties first prevented you from holding down a job. not knowing your age i would say put down whichever you wish but make sure it is over 5 years ago! Then I don't know what to do about the job history section, I don't really have one I had two short term jobs that I don't have the information for just that i was fired after a short time and work study in college but that's supposed to be counted as financial aid I'm pretty sure. I don't know so I guess I am worried about if I will qualify or not......or if I get denied if I could even appeal it successfully. put down everything you have done, if you can't give exact dates put year started and year ended or season+year started and season+year ended e.g. spring 04- summer 04, the more you put down the more they can pull out as relevant info. you can always put a note in the additional information box that most forms have stating that due to your mental illness you are unable to remember all the details, so have filled it in to the best of your ability. it is always worth appealing even if you fail, because there is always a chance you will succeed. |

I was thinking of just clarifying more in the space it leaves to add notes, and just fill out the rest the best I can. I will definitely appeal it just kind of hoping I don't have to, probably will though.
