Well at long last the wait is almost over and my SSI Appeal Hearing is scheduled for this Friday (I was told of the Hearing date at the very beginning of April). Even though I have done an appeal before I am still a little nervous about it and am wondering what I might be able to say this time that will give me a different outcome than the last time. There are also many times when I can't sleep the night before something that I am nervous about so I am also worried that I might not get any sleep the night before and how that might affect me.

I hope you get a good decision this time. Is it the same judge?

The "Hugs" button seems a little odd sometimes. I wish there were a sympathy button. I hope it works out for you.
Thanks for this!

The judge's name should be on the letter telling you where and when. Since you can't ask for a different judge it might be best not to know. After its over you can search my SSDI posts and find a link to a site that has statistics on all SSDI judges including the statistics for percentage of favorable/unfavorable decisions. Might be best not to know that beforehand either. Even the worst judges have to approve some applicants.
Thanks for this!

I have an appeal hearing in October and I've never been to one before. I was wondering how the process works. Is it question and answer or do you have to describe. I don't know how I'm going to get through it.

They ask you a bunch of questions and usually make a ruling based on it.

Well unfortunately it looks like its all over for me, the judge refused to hear my case again deciding to revert back to the decision made 2 years ago, even though I thought that a lot had changed with me since than.

I'm not sure what to say except sorry. And don't give up yet. Did your lawyer have anything comments?

The lawyer told me that she thinks it is time that we withdraw seeing that we have exhausted every available option and I agreed with her.
