I have just completed my application online. Toward the end there is a spot to put your "remarks." What do I put???I am so nervous!

So you applied for SSI? You aren't going with a lawyer?
I think the "remarks" section is either for them to fill out or is like when you order something online to be sent and you can give instructions of where to leave it if you aren't home, etc. Just any comments you may have.

I don't suppose you are required to put anything. I seem to think I elaborated on some of the matters I indicated in the application, though.

with the remarks space you can give more details about yourself your disabilities, treatments, treatment providers, what ever you want social security to know about and consider when they process your application. |

It's really "jumping the gun" to seek representation prior to being denied benefits; for the most part any legit lawyer won't actually take on a case until a person has been denied once.

I still stand by my remark, having been through the process personally as well as helped my father through the process and assisted several others through it as well. You don't need a lawyer in the initial application stage because representation is not necessary. Essentially a lawyer just does the job of a secretary or a dedicated loved one and takes a quarter of your money, sorry. |
