Had applied last month for about the 5th time (my symptoms make follow-through very difficult most of the time). I went online today to check the status and there's no record of my application (though it was there 2 weeks ago when I sent in all the paperwork they were asking for). I'm confused why it disappeared. All the past decisions are still there (denial due to lack of follow-through on my part and once on theirs), but there is no evidence of this latest application. I have to wait until late in the week to be able to call them (super-busy week). I hope they did not lose it or deny me and not make note.
It's really confusing the way they do it here:they always send mail to one person in the household even if the letter is not for that particular person (head of household). It makes everything confusing. They have a crazy phone system that makes you wade through 5 menus before being able to talk to a live person, and even then there's often an additional 30 minute wait... I really need this, but I feel like there are too many road blocks in place... ugh! |

Wow--what a hassle! I've gone through similar situations, and I know it's frustrating to say the least. Lots of hugs to you and I hope it gets worked out soon.

Finally got my approval letter yesterday. It's conditional tho because I get too much money through disabilIty (and it's really not all that much). At least I have it for the bigger things. Sucks when I'm just sick with a cold out the flu because I can't afford to pay for the visits out of pocket, but it will cover anything more expensive. I'm just grateful to have anything at all.
