A few months ago my husband and I got insurance after not having ANY for either of us for over 5 years or more! Anyways, because he was afraid of being fined and loosing money, he decided to finally get insurance which is the one of the only good things about this kind of insurance.

Today I called at least six doctors and although they do accept our insurance which is Blue Cross Anthem, a PPO, they don't if it's covered under Covered California. One lady even said OMG. I'm confused. Why would some Drs. refuse to accept this kind of insurance?

I don't know much about how this insurance works apparently or most insurance for the record. This is super frustrating especiallly since we have such a high deductible. I'd appreciate any insight into this matter.

Covered California is not insurance, it is just the State's marketplace to buy insurance. Your insurance is Anthem. I would go to their site https://www.anthem.com/health-insurance/home/overview and find a doctor through them (right side of screen).

Thanks for the link. I should've checked that out instead of wasting so much time calling all these places!
