I work and hadn't known Voc Rehab could help me, but I was told to apply, I was approved, and they told me as long as I am a consumer they can pay my vo-pays, what my deductible doesn't cover, and even my medicine co pays.
Just thought I'd throw that out there in case this info helps others.

Mine was going to pay for it, but I missed the first appointment due to a family disturbance/emergency. My mother had car problems that I was helping with at the time of the appointment, and I accidentally missed it, so they canceled the services.

Voc. Rehab can be very generous in what they will help with. They offered to pay for an $8,000 course of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for me. After one session, I decided that I really wasn't into this "mindfulness" thing. (It seemed more like mindlessness to me.) So I didn't take them up on the offer, but they were willing. I was very surprised.
At one point, when I started a job that was at quite a distance from my home, they provided me with gas vouchers to fuel my car. So it is worthwhile to work with them. I've known them to pay for college courses and even for eyeglasses. Sorry, Koko, that your services were canceled like that. It sounds pretty cold. I was lucky in having a very kind adviser at Voc. Rehab. who let it slide when I missed an appointment, or two. |
