How difficult is it to get RE-APPROVED upon review (CDR) for ss disability?
It's been said that 95% off people on ssDi get re-approved after their first review (CDR), which has me thinking that it's almost a given. I haven't seen the doctor for over 3 years because I cannot afford it. My condition is rare and going to ss's doctors probably won't be helpful since they don't know my history. I'm thinking that even that being the case, I could bring along my medical files if ss made me go to their doctors. I wonder if ss's doctors would bother to even look at my history if I brought it. They may just say they can't confirm or deny my medical issues..... Anyone have any PERSONAL OR SECOND HAND insight into any of this? (I still cannot afford to see the specialists necessary for my condition. I am on Medicare A and not Medicare B because I cannot afford $104 a month. MassHealth will not cover my doctors visits since I'm not on Medicare B.) |

you haven't seen a doctor in 3 years? I think, from what I've read there are 2 types of reviews they could do. If they do the one where you need medical records and possibly a exam you are screwed.

There may or may not be the possibility of buying time. For example, it MIGHT or might not be possible to assign my ticket to work to an EN, then quit and request for emergency benefits for 6 months. If that were to work, I would have an additional 6 months to try to find a way to afford the doctor (which is a combination of expensive specialists in my situation). Has anyone on ssDi tried this? |
