I just applied for ssi and have an appointment tomorrow. My anxiety has been getting worse and worse and feel like ill have a panic attack if I go in especially with so many strangers. Is it possible to reschedule and request a phone interview? I told myself I would go since the day they gave me the appointment but I cant do it.

Please force yourself to go. They might not have an appt available for a phone call for weeks or more.
You will probably have forms that you will need to sign and they will need to make copies of SS card, drivers license etc Do you have a family member or friend you can take with you for support?
