Same for me. They send a one or two page form to fill out ever so often but beyond that nothing. Never had to reprove anything. I've also attempted many times to go back to work. Those attempts and the doctor appointments, surgeries they have access to since my bills are though Medicare and I file W2 forms, so they don't bother me about it all. My disability was granted in '98.

Where i come from all medicare is free including prescriptions........i have health issues and recieve disability living allowance and income support. I have ptsd and depression.......the money given is enough to be comfortable, but all is not rosy here as people who only recieve unemployment benefit can struggle and may have to go to a food bank and they get a few bags of food to keep them going.

I hope life improves for you and many others that are finding things difficult.

i leave you with love and affection.
Maybe I need to move to Scotland? (One of Countries of origin).. is it still wet there?

I applied online for SSDI and was approved in three months. This was in 2009. I'm grateful for SSDI but wish my MI didn't exist, of course. I'd much prefer to function better and resume my career. However, I accept it and I'm grateful.

I do live with a family member and pay very low rent. I tried an apartment but it was noisy and just too pricey. I'm a single mom and finances are tight but I manage ok.

Luxury home, nice vacations etc disappeared when I got divorced. But that's ok too.

I aim to return to volunteer work when my health improves. I used to facilitate a local bipolar support group and it was a great experience.

You just need to be creative and pay bills first of the month it's possible to have a life...it's less impulsive though.
this is how I live my life now, as I could never hold onto a job long enough or earn enough to be able to do anything else; it sucks because I don't qualify for disability. So I have to get a job but I'm in my 50's and haven't worked in almost five years--so I already have two strikes against me right there.
