I'd rather buy than rent. So I sent a copy of the pertinent divorce papers to creditors in hopes some of the charges get transferred. He agreed in the divorce and signed. Praying it works in my favor.
There will still be work to do but I'm taking steps.

Those were really good steps to take! It is not easy but one step at a time. You can do it. Wishing you well as you move forward.

Way over my head in debt, he promised things, did unethical things, and really destroyed it. I got a no from the creditors on the transfers, mainly because he has borrowed and never paid anything EVER! True white collar criminal. I'm forced into bankruptcy it seems, and really trying my best not to do it. But I really don't see another way out of this horrible mess.
Normal people keep their word, cons manipulate and lie about everything. I better off without him I wish I never met him. I was far better off before meeting him. He really drug me down, I'm just lucky I have family to fall back on because without them I'd be homeless.

Bankruptcy can be a very positive thing to do for yourself. And it doesn't mean you'll never get credit again. Terms, like interest rate, will not be favorable for awhile. But, over time, you'll get better offers, if you reject the high interest offers.
It would allow you to divest yourself of the debt your husband incurred and get a fresh start. |

Rose76 has a very good point. I was terrified of going into bakruptcy but look upon it now as the best decision I ever made.
