I am Bipolar 1 and I am supposed to be highly medicated, but I am not taking any of my meds and haven't been for 2 years because I do not have health insurance. I need to be on my meds without question and as soon as possible. Does anyone know of any programs or funds that are out there that might help me? I am not doing great and I feel it more everyday..

A couple of suggestions:
1. go to official drug website of the brand name of what you need. Drug co's often have coupons for their branded drugs. Ex. Brand name Abilify. I get it for $5 copay. The generic costs me about $150.
2. Try Goodrx.com They offer discounts on a bunch of meds, you just show the free card
3. I haven't checked this out, but somewhere on Psych Central I've seen a link for a prescription card. Maybe on the psychiatric medicine forum

kecanoe's suggestions are excellent.

Another suggestion is to go to your county mental health department and tell them what's going on.

I used to go through this organization for several different meds from different companies. Not sure how they are now. https://www.pparx.org/

You can also try calling 211.

Also depending on your income you should be eliagble for free to subsidized health care. I don't know what the state health care regs are ur state, but now that Obama care is in effect.. Go to your states gov health site online. It should have links to the application and income info... Hope it works out for you! Health care lapses are the worst! So stressful.
