So I work for a division of the university that runs the hospital. But the mental health unit in the hospital doesn't accept my insurance. I am so pissed. So now I have to deal with out of network which I have never done before. All this crap because my pdoc wants a second opinion.
They told me to try the hospital I went to before but my pdoc wants this hospital. Plus I hate that other hospital. Also the quote the lady gave me was for an average stay of 18 days. 18 days!!! I better not be there for 18 days. I told them to proceed because they said I can always back out up to the last minute. So now I am just waiting for my pdoc to send my clinical info and a bed to be available. Damn this is all so frustrating. How do people deal with this? |

Very frustrating. I can relate. My 6-day stay in a psychiatric ward with insurance ran about $3600... 18 days is a long time. I hope that is not necessary. Can your PDoc be more flexible? |
