It's all about money. I've always had my own insurance from employment. The doctors make different amounts of money from different insurance plans. They could actually lose money on you. So I ask you could you turn down a patient because there on medicaid ?

eyesclosed..that is horrible...but like the above person said...maybe find a Dr. who is ok with Medicaid? The Drs around here don't flinch when you say you have Medicaid..if they accept it...they treat you like any other person.

The actual DR..does not know what insurance you have, it is all handled at the front desk. The Dr. doesn't trouble themselves with that information, once you walk into the exam room..you are just another patient..at least that is how it is around here.

I had my choice of HMO plans. I was at the ER yesterday because a big hard piece of effusion from the pressure broke my tympanic membrane bone.
