My husband has now been denied twice for SSDI. Does anyone have experiences with ASSUP? They have representatives specifically for people with mental illnesses, but they are not attorneys. It was one of the referrals we got from NAMI. Another one they gave us was NOSSCR, which is a disability attorney referral service.

Would greatly appreciate any input.

I would interview them to find out the number of cases they have filed vs the number they have won. I did not know about representatives but interviewed attorney's after being denied 2x in the same boat. That swayed my decision.

Wishing y'all the best and hoping it goes through this next time.

Reading about ASSUP, I would go with whichever is less expensive. I'm sure the recommendations are of two systems that work relatively equally well; ASSUP looks like it pioneered the appeal system and looks "larger" and more uniform than a single law firm could be.
