I am hoping to get feedback from hopefully some people who know.... I am at the point that I have decided to sign up on SSDI...and I am wondering if I should waste my time. I live in an apartment and the apartment rules is if anyone stays over night more than 8 times a year they must be on the lease. My boyfriend lives 2 hours a away where he works........ But because he visits on the weekends, and its more than 8 times a year, I had to add him to my lease. Now my question is do you think it would stop me from getting my SSDI? I pay my own bills where I live and he pays his where he lives (which he and a few guys where he works rent a house).

Thanks in Advanced

No it would not. SSDI has nothing to do with expenses, but is based on what you earned while working. Also once approved it is six months before you can receive a check so be prepared for that. The lawyer also told me I could not apply until I quit my full time job.
