I haven't been able to work for over 4 years now and I decided to get my doctor to fill out the form for the disability tax credit, I'm from Canada by the way, and he ended up telling me that because I can dress myself and feed myself that there was nothing he could really check off on the form. I'm quite sure that there is a box where you can write in what my mental and physical disabilities do that make me unable to work indefinitely.
I currently live on social assistance and our child tax credit which isn't enough to survive. If he has deemed me unable to work indefinitely which is what he told my case worker at social assistance then shouldn't I be entitled to the disability tax credit?

You case worker should have some idea what financial systems are available in your country. If they dont know then ask them to find out.

Here is a link from the government about the disability tax credit:

https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-age...rms/t2201.html
https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/cr.../t2201-17e.pdf

Your doctor is not telling the truth with the form. There is more than dressing and feeding. You can read the form yourself, but there is a section on vision, speaking, hearing, walking, mental functions necessary for everyday life, etc.. I would suggest you see another doctor to get another opinion.

I hope this helps.
