Or can i get one while on disability? My mom suggested certified used but thinks i should wait until i have a job. I could reasonably afford the estimated payments on the car I decided on. I know that I will get a job eventually. But the breaks went out on my current car and though it happened in a parking lot and is being repaired. It's just not trustworthy any longer. I would trade it in after talking to my brother. Should i do it or wait?

Yes you can have a car on disability. Whether the dealer chooses to give you a
loan for the car is up to the dealership.

Cars are good when they go but pricey to fix. What is the public transport like in your area?

Very limited. Buses go downtown. Through insurance i can get rides to appointments. But there really isn't a good in town bus system. I live rurally. And need a car to see my daughter.
