I start a new job Monday and insurance does not kick in for 90 days. Omg. Not only do I have meds and appointments and labs that need drawn, but so does my husband (he can't get insurance through his work and couldnt afford it even if he could). Also, I need a psychiatrist, but that will have to wait.
Any ideas on what to do without insurance? I know I can make payments, but even that is so expensive and we can barely afford meals at times. Anything other than the obvious that I could do? |

I know when my insurance would not cover visits to a psychiatrist and therapist, they had a charity care type program that I applied for and it was based on income. I was able to make small, affordable payments and still receive care. I've been to other places that didn't have as good a program, so it's worth looking around and seeing what you can find.

Thank you. Meds are going to be about $200. I have a feeling I won't qualify for charity because on my income for services. I checked with United Summit Center, where I went to therapy for a while, and the local 1 takes Medicare/Medicaid and private pay- I make too much $.
