I have school loans from taking online classes that were scamming people. Now the student loans is threaten to garnish my disability check. I can't afford the payment because I thought I would get a job. I am eighty percent deaf in both of my ears.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I don't know anything about this specifically. I do know there has been quite a bit in our local news recently about for-profit schools that have suddenly & unexpectedly gone out of business leaving students with no diplomas & large debts. If you haven't already done so it might be worth a call to your state's attorney general's office to see if you would have any options under the law. My best wishes to you...

Absolutely call the Attorney General office in your state. They will be able to help out.

Definitely get legal advice. Where I live companies can't garnish disability or other social assistance payments.
