I have school loans from taking online classes that were scamming people. Now the student loans is threaten to garnish my disability check. I can't afford the payment because I thought I would get a job. I am eighty percent deaf in both of my ears.

I'm sorry this happened to you.
 I don't know anything about this specifically. I do know there has been quite a bit in our local news recently about for-profit schools that have suddenly & unexpectedly gone out of business leaving students with no diplomas & large debts. If you haven't already done so it might be worth a call to your state's attorney general's office to see if you would have any options under the law. My best wishes to you...

Definitely get legal advice. Where I live companies can't garnish disability or other social assistance payments.
