It was before the con artist! I'm so excited, I'm in debt about 1k on credit cards, which I can relatively easily pay off. I have made it over a big hurdle. Due to bankruptcy I still have my issues, but honestly this is exciting for me! Progress, it took me 3 years to go from 300 to over 700, but I did it!

That's great. I'm in a similar position, having declared bankruptcy in 2012. Working on rebuilding credit. I've made it into the 600's so still work to go.

Splitimage go to credit sesame they give advice to you on how to build your credit, its free. I filed bankruptcy in 2016 and previously 2007. 2007 was my mental illness. Prior to that when I got into debt I paid it but twice was well in over my head.

That is a big accomplishment.
You can increase this even more by attending some debt and finance education (usually free) and consolidating it. Avoid doing so through a bank. There are debt consolidation and relief programs out there offered for free. They talk to your creditors on your behalf and get good results at having repayment rates reduced by sometimes half of what you are paying them directly. |
