I can see great medical doctors and specialists with my new insurance. But I have to get pre approved for therapy. I’m paying out of pocket for my Pdoc regardless of how much he charges per session. But does anyone else’s insurance suck when it comes to your mental health stuff? My insurance couldn’t even find me a therapist who took their own frigging insurance so I had to go out of network to find one. Then I had to get pre approved for sessions. It’s not a big deal at least right now. I’m still paying the same amount as before. But my copays for my medical doctors are only $25 and I don’t have to go through my insurance for specialists.

Mine doesn’t suck. It covers unlimited therapy and doctor visits as long as you meet deductible, which isn’t that high. Meds are inexpensive. I have a very good insurance ad we both are on it. My husbands work place provides pretty decent one too, so we can be on it if need to. I can’t complain

I shouldn’t have been so flippant. Generally my husbands insurance is good. It’s from a university plan and we pay for the high options family plan because we have 3 children. Even though my rx plans will cover certain things I had to appeal for 8 months coverage for a med I’ve taken three time’s a day for 17 years. All of a sudden they said no I should only need it once a day. I won’t my appeal but had to pay nearly 300
$ bucka a month. I did get the money back though. Made no sense because they were fine covering my daughters stelara shots at 7k a pop but a few Hundred and I had hoops to jump through.
