Hello friends hope you are doing great, I'm sending you all the loving positive thoughts and energy!

So I've looked up the gist on how much you can make on SSI (Supplemental Security Income) but don't really think I quite 100% understand, so I was hoping someone could help clarify it for me.

From my understanding, can you have a total of (I don't remember the exact figures so roughly) roughly ~$1,500 a month, including the $842 max SSI payment amount? So basically you can earn very roughly around $700 from a job/source of income, and still receive the $842? Or did I not understand it correctly?

Sorry! I did look it up, altho i have no first hand knowledge.

It looks like the answer is - it depends. It depends on if you are applying for the first time. If so, then if you already make around $1300, they will not approve you. However, if you DO get approved, then you can make around $1700 OVER the $850 SSI payment before they will discontinue your benefit.

Thats how it read to me.
