I waited until now...end of the month to apply for this car loan to buy a car and being responsible about being insured. I'm 33, F, and just stupid for not listening to my husband about his plan. Because I didn't act on this, we're now in a bind.

My husband reassures me that everything will be fine the loan approval and adding our names to the title. Once we have those, we can be fully insured.

My mom, whose name the car is under is also disappointed in me for waiting to get this done.

Why am I here? Why do I make such stupid decisions? .....

I keep making stupid mistakes. This isn't the first time I've messed up and didn't listen to or hear out my husband..

What happened? Do you not have the funds to cover the monthly payment since you waited until the end of the month?

I didn't get approved for one loan. Going today to a few banks. My husband will be on the loan with me, so that will likely get us approved. Once we get that approved, we'll be smooth sailing from there with payments and insurance.

Anyway, I'm just stressing over something that I caused. I shouldn't be complaining because it was my fault for not taking the time to make a plan, or listen to my husband's suggestion.

Try not to beat yourself up. Getting approved at the car dealership is always a guessing game, even if the person's credit is stellar. Their finance people work with banks whose loans are designed as high interest so that people get a car loan where their monthly payment goes towards 1/4 of the actual car loan and 90% of it goes to the interest.

Glad that your husband will get approved and that you two can split the car payment. It will all work out in the end.
