I need help with choosing insurance. I am confused. My chiropractor doesn’t accept HMO’s

I only make about $2500 every 2 weeks,.

I have until 10/1 to make my decision.

Do most places not accept HMO’s? I’d prefer to go to my own doctors

The Kaiser HMO is around $700 biweekly The Blue Cross PPO is about $1100.

That’s almost half my pay! Crazy!

I don’t really understand to much about insurance, so I’m confused.

Should I choose a lower or higher deductible too?

I’d appreciate any help.

I agree PPO... but if you can't afford it, perhaps HMO -- I think you can change it during your next open season if you find you can't live with the HMO.

I am always on PPO but I know people who have been with Kaiser for years and happy with it. A close friend had surgery with Kaiser a couple of years ago.
