Does anyone learn differently than normal, how do you learn, and how have you adapted to learning differently.

I’ll start, I learn better by listening and Mose effectively in structured step by step process and being told and shown hands on is best. Someone speaking fast freaks me out, well more on the phone when writing info down and do this often on the phone for work. It’s amazing how fast and un-intelligible people speak. Likely I have nonverbal learning disorder.

I seem to learn better visually and by reading than when someone is talking to me. I need more time to process what is being said than verbal talk allows. Keeping up with a person speaking (like in a classroom or on the phone) takes a lot of effort for me. So, I actually prefer email, messaging, books, pictures, and diagrams in learning.

I am not sure it is a disorder. I think people just have different strengths in how they process information.

Yes I believe that is like very true that people have different strengths in how they process things and I find it very interesting. In an ideal world schools would test all students for learning styles and strengths, then offer different types of classes for the various types of strengths.

I agree with me process by seeing when people talk fast it goes sideways for me.I know that is where my Autism comes in.

learning and listing are both important roles in life because when you accolade information that listing is played the most important role in life. and Reading books are also gain knowledge and other benefits in life. thanks.

Yes ive adapted a way of learning around my disability. I feel my way through situations as my sense of feel for danger is heightend. This enables me to read people and a sense of danger differently. After my girlfriend was harmed ive adapted, i lost trust in people. I dont like looking at pictures because i feel the situation with her was a bad one.

Yes can agree with you when writing things down if people talk fast it can be difficult to keep up and/or understand them.
