Hi, I kind of have lurked here only because I first read a little, wondering if anything would resonate and give me any insight into my father and why he was who and what he was. But I think his issues were very different from gender identity issues, more along the lines of the aftermath of csa.
I'm a hetero guy who never questioned either his gender identity or orientation, mostly just wondered why he was such a loser when it came to women, but that's another issue. I just wanted to tell all of you here that I have read very moving things here, and I feel so deeply for you, what you go through at the hands of the public as well as the people in your lives. You face very difficult challenges trying to be who you want to be in a society that doesn't accept you nearly as much as it should. You are all very brave and I see so much dignity in you for in fighting just to be who you truly are at heart, even when it hurts like Hell. I hope our society continues to open up and become more accepting of you as you go through your struggles to find the lives you deserve. I have seen so many changes and so much more acceptance of quote alternative unquote lifestyles, which really are not alternative and not anything new under the sun anyway. I hope you all find the peace and happiness you deserve in a much more supportive and less prejudiced world in the very near future. |
