Welcome to this forum. Any step towards closing the gap between those born in the correct body and those that were not is good. Recently, I ran into some research papers that believe transgenderism is a neural abnormality, as opposed to a mental illness. Not just that you received the wrong hormone in utero, but rather that there are areas of the brain that did not develop as they should, leaving the person with a brain going one way and the body going another. The recommended therapy was surgery and hormones.
