I haven't gone swimming in a long time. Mostly because I would rather not remove my body hair. The last time I went was a couple of years ago in a shirt and sweatpants. Before that it was probably another several years. And I will admit, I've always wanted to wear a pair of shorts (and now I can understand why).

In any case, I was reading up online, and I found a store and the customer service was fantastic. She helped me find a loose shirt and some loose shorts. I can't wait to get them! I bought a swimsuit the other day, boyleg for women, and since I have a small chest it might bind enough so I don't need to worry. I'd wear it underneath the shirt and shorts. I'd have to test it out though. And I'm travelling someplace that is much, much, MUCH more trans-friendly, so if it isn't perfect, it doesn't matter.

I'll probably go swimming in secret though. Dunno what my family would think, haha. (And pray for single stall bathrooms.)

What are your experiences?

Hey, that's cool!

I go swimming regularly, but it's in a course setting and the pool is closed to the public. I feel uncomfortable, but I can deal with it mostly. I stopped removing body hair too, and some people probably talk behind my back, but who cares. I'm not out there... Anyway, I like swim training because it has given me broader shoulders .
