Seems like a quiet part of the forum. Anyone else genderfluid on here?

I feel like a mixture of femininity and masculinity, but leaning a little bit more toward masculine. A part of me really does feel like a boy on the inside. But my voice is extremely girly and I still wear make-up. I hate my voice...I couldn't pass for a boy with a voice like this and that upsets me. Wish I could have a deeper voice.

I'm genderfluid. I've always felt like I could never fit one gender or sexuality most days. You have no idea how relieved I was to find out about it.

I am so happy to see other fluid ppl here! I always feel that it's difficult to come out if you have a mental illness bc it often gets dismissed as a side effect.

I'm mostly agender but sometimes I shift to other genders. So happy since I don't force myself to fit my assigned gender

I used to id as genderfluid before I found the neutrois label which fits me better. I know what you mean about gender being blamed on mental illness. I'm afraid I won't be able to transition if I get officially diagnosed as psychotic.

If your voice is the most dysphoric thing about your body, there are ways to train yourself to speak lower and also if you go in T your voice will get lower.

There are some nice vocal exercises that can help lower your voice! The one I'm familiar with is this:
1) start humming at your natural pitch, make sure you're humming from the back of your throat.
2) now lower your hum as far down as you can and tilt your head back
3) continue humming and slowly bring your head forward again.

From what I understand, this lengthens your vocal chords temporarily and thus lowers your voice. It takes some practice, and shouldn't be done too often or it can actually hurt your throat. There's a couple video tutorials for it too!
