So I think I am either gender fluid or bi gender but I felt really masculant in that day. So we were celebrating my birthday at a Chinese restaurant and I had to go to the toilet. And as soon as I got to the hallway with the 2 doors I straight up went to the male one. There was a man inside, I acted.. cool? And I survived!! That's the first time that I went to a male bathroom outside of school, and I didn't get attacked or someone started bullying me. Oh it felt so amazing!
And then later in the day I felt a bit more neutral and guess what, we were in a place that sold cakes so we could further celebrate and I went to the toilet, again, and GENDER NEUTRAL BATHROOM! Say WHAT!! Omg the smile that rose upon my face. I even did a small dance in there! So yeah xD Just wanted to get this out

That's awesome!! It's these "little" things that can make such a big difference. I can definitely remember the rush I felt the first few times using the men's room, especially with other men in there. Tbh, I still get a little twinge of that!
Good on ya!

Maybe I'm just a weirdo, but I've never felt controlled by the sign on the door before! Although obviously I see why people would and normally should be using the bathrooms for what they are/identify as. I'm pretty feminine but I have used men's bathrooms whenever convenient, especially at my last job or in stores/places tailored more for women so men will be less likely to be in there. They've never said anything if they were in there. Just stared in wonder.
