So, my insurance is set to change at the end of March, so I contacted my surgeon to see if my consult could be moved up with the hopes of surgery being completed by the end of March. They had a cancelation and can get me in tomorrow. Happy... scared... excited... big steps that maybe no steps. As someone in the masculine leaning non-binary, I have some criteria around how the top surgery is to be done and so this might end up being a no go if the surgeon doesn't think she can do the surgery based on my desires.
My family doesn't know. I just needed to say something somewhere. I don't see my t again until tomorrow after this consult appointment. |

Ok, so didn't go as I hoped, did go as I expected. My only option is double incision method. I was hoping for one of the methods that did not include a graph. Trying to find the peace with this decision.

I'm sorry that the simpler surgeries won't work for you.
![]() Hopefully the surgery and recovery will still go smoothly with no complications! I admire your courage in taking this big step to fully be the person you want/need to be. |

Congrats! I'm sure it must be a big relief for you. I hear you about preferring not to have grafts, though.
Wishing the best for you and your recovery Keep us updated when you are able
