I have two LGBT+ kids, support them very well and love them no matter what.See them very happy to this day.Good thing is their bio dad is on the same page as me,supports them too.My oldest whom is 16 is transgender. Her dad and I knew something was wrong with her at age 6,she would not come out at first. It was finally last year she did come out as transgender.Sees a therapist and has been on the estrogen and male hormone blockers for a month now.Her dad and I are letting her make the decisions.Already has decided to have the GRS when she is 18.My youngest whom is 14 is lesbian, she came out last month on this.Knew she likes girls only. Both also have support from my family, their friends and dad's family.

@Stronggal good for you and your husband respecting your children's preferences and helping them adjust to life in a new gender role.

I am a 29 year old transgender man. I came out a few months before I turned 27. I got on testosterone in March 2020. I got top surgery in October 2020 and a hystrectomy last October. I don't plan on getting any more surgeries. My mom was hesistant at first when me and my therapist told her. But now she is super accepting and gives me my shots and took care of me after my surgeries Everyone else was not suprised when I told them. It hasn't always been easy. I still have a lot of anxiety about being out in public even though I pass and I am developing a restricting type eating disorder and my therapist is telling me that soon I am going to get to the point where I will be too thin to pass. I am also putting my life at risk according to my doctor by staying on my testosterone based on my blood work. But I am choosing to stay on it. But I am much happier then I was before and having a supportive family is great.
