Me and my partner are crazy in love and I have never been happier in a relationship but there’s one big issue. We are both women and her parents are homophobic. She says if it comes down to it, she will let her parents disown her rather than live life without a partner. She really loves her parents though and I really hope they can learn to tolerate us. If her parents never like me, that’s ok in my book, but I really want them to maintain some semblance of relationship with my partner for her sake.

That's definitely a tough situation @Sunlight94. No one wants to choose between a partner and parents. But I do know gay people who have done that.

My partner has such a good heart. It makes me sad that she has to deal with this.

I am so sorry. Sadly homophobia is still rampant in our society. And you’d think in 2022 people would have a bit more common sense. It’s hard.
