Coming out later in life 3 years ago as transgender was a relief for me.I was 41 at the time and was in the closet for 36 years.I knew at age 5 that I was born the wrong gender knowing I was a girl from the inside. It was in January 2020 I finally came out.Wife was first and said she was going to be with me no matter what.Mom and my sister, both knew,I was in the closet for a long time about something. Both did take it well knowing I was unhappy in my life.Toughest part was tell my sons whom are now 18 and 20 that dad was going to transition to become female..It was tough for them and took them time to accept..Did decide to transition going on the estrogen patches also put on the male hormone blockers.Did have support from them including friends and co workers. All say Iam much happier although I decided not to have the GRS.Wife and I,we say our marriage is stronger. She does not miss the unhappy husband she had

@MissAd glad you found an identity and story that you feel comfortable with. It is the person not the body that makes a relationshp.
