So I was perusing the Men-Focused Support section and I was greatly enjoying all of the topics that are here and that they are unique and can't be found anywhere else on the site. The idea and feeling of "Guy Time" right here on the forum. I appreciate its usefulness and the fun that can be had...

Then I ran into a problem... I read the thread "Who Are You Favorite MILFS" and was a little disturbed, kind of upset, and felt a little bit like it was some sexism.... The thread has been closed last post being November of last year.

Am I the only one who feels it was wrong for women to intrude upon and post on the thread? I understand that curiosity may kill the cat and men or women might read through the others sections, but to actually post in it, which ultimately caused the thread to be closed.

Some comments included intentionally set up just to provoke? No I think it was all in good fun of what is a now socially accepted term, not meant to demean or objectify anyone...

Also the comment was made that women can post in the Men's Section if invited... Why yes I see where this can be of value, but shouldn't the invitation of a female perspective be done or at least approved by the thread creator? And were the female/s that did post in fact previously invited?

Alas, that thread is not the subject, but the real subject is how can I feel comfortable posting something that is intended for a male audience, with male points of view, if women are allowed to metaphorically "Waltz in the door and trash the place"? I feel as if I can't really let any true thoughts, ideas or problems out that this section would be used for now that I have seen this happen in the past....?

In response to mysecretname's post, I was under the impression that DocJohn himself directed that no women were to post here. If any do, I would suppose the right thing to do would be to PM DocJohn and have him delete the offending post. Ninety percent of this entire site is run by and for women, with 90% female participation. I see no reason whatsoever to let women into this forum at all, by permission or otherwise. Who would grant that permission? A majority of posters here? No, no, no. Such things can't be comfortably organized. Let women stay in the rest of the site. Any female posting here should automatically be deleted by whatever admin can be found or by DocJohn. Comments? Opposition? Reaction? Take care.

Yes Ygrec, it is actually in the rules of this section that women are not to post at all unless invited, which I agree with you, I can't think of a reason for a woman to be invited into this area. If it is something that needs a woman's opinion then it should be posted elsewhere, where women have access to it. It seems to me that this section is pretty dead compare to the rest of the forums... Is that because others feel the way I do? Do they also not feel comfortable posting because they feel it isn't really a For Men Only area? Or does anyone besides me even care?

I am the one who started the offending thread. I share the understanding that this part of the forum was our (Men's) virtual "lockerroom" and we should be free to post here without fear so long as we do not engage in any personal attacks on other members of P Central, fair enough.

I decided to put this idea to the test and in the process exposed the duplicity that occurs on this site, which was my real aim. Apparantly we have a double standard here. If something similar had been posted in the Women's only group nothing would have occured.

It shows the power of a majority to use bullying, to censor, and to stifle expession and control content. I exposed this as well.

To his credit our mod here stood up for my thread and defended the intergrety, of having men only post to the men's forum. He had no choice but to lock the thread to avoid further conflicts and put an end to the nastiness that ensued.

So there you have it folks, its all my fault, I take responsibilty for all that I say, but know this, I am a champion of free expression, and of all of your Creator endowed first amendment rights.

Political Correctness is speech facism, there I said it, loud and clear. Censorship stifles thought and hinders intellectual development. IF there are those who think that being Politically Correct is a good thing, please read George Orwell's "1984" and ask yourself is that the world you really want, because Mr. Orwell is right, that is exactly where it leads.

BTW, I did not violate any of the PC's forum rules with my thread. I was crucified by those who were being narrow-minded along with a former member who served as sycophant to these folks.

Ok enough, I need say no more. For those who hate me because I choose free expression over popular sentiment and political expendiency I am not going to cow tow to any of you, you want to "control me" ain't happening, you will have to kill me first before I retract anything I say. Cannot handle it? Fine, Hate me if you must, but know that you hate an honorable man who stands up and defends the first amendment rights of everyone, ask yourselves, does that make Timgt5 evil?

Women cannot "waltz in the door and trash the place." This is a forum for men-only and when it was brought to our attention a woman was posting here, we took action. We have rules, and when those rules are broken, action is taken. We cannot preemptively prevent women from posting here because the software doesn't allow that sort of restriction.

Both genders have been very respective of their own forums and not posting to the other's. This has nothing to do with "first amendment rights," since we're not the government. It has to do with following a simple set of rules we put in place to encourage civility and respect and remember why we're all here -- for support.

It's safe to post here and know you're only going to get replies by men to your post. The thread you mentioned was an unfortunate exception, and one that was taken care of at the time.

Thanks,
DocJohn

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
