Hi all, having some sexual frustrations here. I'm in my mid-20's, and have had the occasional problem before but only with heavy drinking, but lately my depression has gotten worse and as such I've been facing a slew of ED problems uncommon for someone my age.

A lot of it I'm sure is due to low confidence, especially after a few recent failures. It causes me to worry about my performance and feeds Into a viscous cycle.

Any other young guys have these issues?

blackmagic, Are you on meds for your depression? Have you talked with your doctor about ED? He might need to change your meds or prescribe addition meds. Ask him to test your testosterone levels.

It was the reason I went to the doctor in the first place, and they used ED as a jumping off point for dysthymia. I was on buspirone for anxiety, but I'm not on anything right now.

Testosterone levels were low-normal, as has been heart rate for as long as I can remember.

In a lot of ways it's just feels like my body is slow. It takes a long time for total arousal, and I can usually get erect but have issues maintaining it. My mind just wanders and feelings of failure start beating me up mentally.

blackmagic, If you suffer from dysthymia, perhaps your doctor can prescribe an anti-depressant? I would ask him about this. It is possible this can help with ED.

It would just be nice if it would come easily to me. It's not the most important thing in the world to me, but it can be a relationship-wrecker.

Blue pills have helped me a lot,, not THOSE blue pills but the generic Xanax that I take is blue. But there is nothing wrong with taking the other blue pills if just taking something for the anxiety isn't enough. Anxiety and erections don't mix, and once you start worrying about getting/keeping an erection it's usually already too late.

Yeah, its happened to me before, but it passed. Just try not to worry about it (easier said then done) and itll go away. Just start enjoying the sex/woman again and itll come back.
Thanks for this!
