To SadNyNJ, There is the classic self help-psych book--The Road Less Traveled. It has a lot of info regarding love and what it can and can not mean to an individual. It's written in lay terms. The issue of validation was a theme in it.

I'm 55 and have been married since I turned 18, it's only natural. I have told my wife I will never live alone, even though she knows she would never be replaced.
I can not envision living alone without her, and pray I never am faced with that problem. That being said, the only person to actually validate the fact I was sexually assaulted by a female social worker has been other females, never another male. Like most other women, men don't get it. Reference the recent riots at Penn State Univ. Tom S. in Tn. __________________ ' none are so enslaved as those led falsely to believe they are actually free ' |
