Anyone have any experience with it? I've had low level pain in one testicle for quite a while now. I also have a lump but it's near the one that doesn't hurt. Or the one that didn't hurt. That one hurts a bit now. I have a high tolerance for pain but it's getting close to the limit of what I can live with. I am supposed to see a urologist this month. I've done enough google searches to know there aren't that many reasons for pain there. The most common are torsion, inflammation, and hernia.
I can pretty much rule out all but one of those and the other is unlikely. I'm sure there must be other reasons. I've been putting off seeing the urologist for close to a year now. I've just got this huge and unreasonable fear of the possibility of being asked to undergo exploratory surgery... and waking up in recovery with parts missing |

George, I had testicular torsion at age 12. If the worst case were to come true, they would implant a prosthetic one. It will feel very natural, no partner would ever know unless told. Loss of one will not diminish fertility or libido.
I hope things turn out ok, man. |

Sorry I never updated this. I finally saw a urologist and had an ultrasound. No cancer. Two inguinal hernias and multiple cysts with odd sounding names. Still hurts and all but not terrible news.

I just had bilateral inguinal hernia surgery myself. The surgery was no big deal actually. (The fact that they pumped me full of dilaudid right after and then tried to wake me up was a big deal - talk about vomit! Then I got really sick while trying to recover. But the surgery itself was easy-peasy.) |

Hey, good luck with that and keep me updated if you can think about it. I can't have surgery right now (no insurance) and I'm really on the fence about it. There are so many conflicting views about the effectiveness of surgery and what the best technique is. I'm hoping mine don't get any bigger but they aren't a problem ATM. The left one is noticeable but I can't even see the right one. The cysts seem to be the cause of the pain but it's not too bad.
