just wanted to get anyones stories or tips for going through the stages of prostate cancer (hope that sounded right)
Unfortunatly I have just been diagnosed with it and would like to hear what I have coming up for me soon . Not just the clinical terms but words from the heart of those of us walking the same road

Don't have stories or tips, really, but offer my support and best wishes.

Don't have it and wish you didn't either.

Thought so clyde it helps to know .but doesn't if you know what I mean . Knowing how and why a person is going to react and still knowing an outcome will be the same only puts a linear face to it .if that makes sense

Thought about starting a journal but when to start and what to put may just keep me focused on one thing while ignoring life going around me. Sounds good in practice but already having multiple ailments already what to concentrate on .
just wondering how everything is going to react.

To me, I would journal for sure.

I wouldn't worry about what to write so much, as I would just write and do it. If you worry about it--then you worry so much and don't write and it is hard for you to get it all out.

To me, if you just write, it would help you let everything get out of your system.

Hey, it helps to have people to talk to

Even when you journal, just writing it out helps. Don't worry about rambling!

already trying to explain to people especially wonen how things work and what doesnt is proving amusing the funny side of seriousness.

So now the novelty has worn off and everyone has gone about their lives . I still sit in pain and because like every disease or ailment that you cant see how does a person cope without seemingly harping on how things are.?

We all can take the harping here. Every man knows that.. There but for the grace of (insert your higher power) go I. Silence is not necessarily an indication of apathy. I think people are uncomfortable with things they either can't relate to or control. Disease happens to be both to a large degree. No one can truly feel your pain unless they've been in your shoes. So they remain silent for fear of making things worse.

And now every man and his dog is an expert. Breaking the silence of disbelief. People have you going to hospital , going here and then there.
Now I have the joy of an ifection spreading goodness knows where . On top of scans in those most tender places you learn really fast to let go of any inhabitions you had of being naked in front of people.
And so the journey continues ....

So now after a few more scans my kidneys are playing up and the extra pain is making life quite interesting to say the least. The questions are many and varied .
Thanks for a place to vent even if I havent actually asked for advice.

Started the first lot of meds dand so far they have knocked me to the ground leaving just enough capacity to converse with the world or anyone in fact .I probably know the answer to the question I was wondering . Do all doctors have to read from the same script they have to tell patients everything will be alright?

No, actually, Doctors are all different They may seem similar because they treat the same diseases and disorders and need to follow the same rules and regulations, but they are different.

Wishing things are getting better for you.
