How do you feel about setups? Someone wants to set me up with a friend, and I know nothing about this woman except she is a little younger than me, Italian, and is into the same sports I am. Sounds good on paper.
Should I do it? What about the complicating factor - if it doesn't work out, then perhaps the person doing the setup will be disappointed or upset, and this is in the work environment? ????????? |

You work with her? Baaaaad.
If you don't work with her, then go for it. You can't be disappointed if you expect something insane, just go have fun. Unless you work with her, then ... no. |

I just don't want it to be awkward if it doesn't work out, if I make a bad impression, or something worse like it becomes intimate and she isn't "pleased" with my competence or lack thereof. That could be embarrassing. |

There are always a lot of IF's. I would say go for it.

Don't go for a "blind date" how about asking your friend to arrange a get together with several other people so it won't be so "date-ish" would give you an opportunity to meet her and see what you think without any pressure.
