I am thinking of shaving the top of my chest, specifically the 'V' where chest hair appears at the top of my shirt, but I am concerned that this will only exacerbate the problem, causing my hair to return curlier and darker, and thus more visible.

Does anybody have experience or advice on this? Is constant shaving of this area feasible?

I know, just wondering what the results are. I don't want to suddenly grow dark curly hair there.

I am considering the duct tape idea. Not sure if he was being serious.

Another hair myth. Shaving has no effect on genetics

I'm not sure but I don't think he was... might be worth a try though

I was being semi serious, they say that waxing causes the hair to grow back thinner and lighter, doing it yourself at home would be less embarrassing than going to a salon..

If you're going to shave part of it, then shave all of it. Personally I think it would look weird to just have a V cut in your chest hair. Personally, I've never even considered shaving my chest hair, I don't model for the GAP and don't want to. Plus my wife likes my soft fleecy coat.

Now the ear hair ... that's a different story ...
