What do you guys think of a single thread started in the men’s forum for the women to come in and ask there questions that they have wanted to know about men?

the single thread will be continuous, with only one thread for the ladies to post there questions in, they can not start a new thread, they have to post there question in the one thread allocated to them, they cannot comment on any other thread in the men’s forum or make reference to any of the other threads in the men’s forum, and they cannot swarm the thread with women only responses to a question posted by a woman, the questions will be serious questions only pertaining to male behavioural traits and not ridiculing or stereotyping in any way shape or form.

I am sure the women would agree to a similar thread in the women’s forum for us men to ask them the same type of questions

That said here is the poll it is a simple yes or no and only the men can vote, it will be kept open for a week to give everyone a chance to see it.

hi david, no the thread would have been restricted to 100 pages but it would take a while for that to fill up, it is a mute point now has the women would not recipricate the offer, have a read of the female forum thread discussing this issue

ah, i didn't realise that the offer was always intended to be conditional on the girls reciprocating.

> can the guys who have voted so far pm me as i want to make sure it is guys only voting

won't you really need a copy of their birth certificates? or perhaps they could get a print out of their DNA so you can check their chromosomes? or perhaps if they assure you that they burp and fart and watch the footie that will be sufficient?

what do you want them to say 'i consider myself to be a guy'

know what???

sometimes i consider myself to be a guy.

You know, I'm not one for creating rules for the sake of creating rules. I would think the name -- Men's focused support -- is pretty self-evident. Do I really have to dig down into specifics when we create a forum like this and say, "Sorry, you need to have these chromosomes and these components and this identity in order to post here"??

A woman posting to a men's focused support forum is not appropriate, asking for mens' opinions about X, Y or Z. That's what the relationships forum is and has always been for, as the word "relationships" describes a lot more than romantic relationships (e.g., any friendship, social relationship, work relationship, etc.).

So the answer is no, this place is for men and men's issues first and foremost. I think that's about as clear as I need to be.

John

well thank you for your unsolicited veiws alex k, way to go on that, you just couldnt resist posting in here could you? want to try and stir the pot, next time do it via pm, i have not posted an objection i had to a post in the womens forum because it is in the womens forum, next time i hope you do the same and keep your veiws in the right forum ( and fyi this is not the right forum for you)

oh and i might just add 10 people have voted to date, yet in total i dont think 10 differant men have posted in this forum so to assume that some of the votes are from women is a good bet, what did you vote for? answers via pm please.

Yes, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify and discuss this idea. I'm going to close this thread as this issue has been clarified, and posts soliciting women's opinions can be made in the Relationships forum. We also have a new sexuality and gender identity forum for people who might have questions along those specific lines or issues.

Thank you again for your feedback and input.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
