I'm sure there are similar threads posted earlier, but how about a fresh start ... let's remind ourselves why we love being bros

I'll start things off:

- Testosterone really does help in the gym
- I love the chivalry involved in taking care of a woman
- Easier to relieve myself
- Not having to carry a new human being in my stomach

You ?

I like the male sexual response... and "doing the deed" with a woman.

I love women, everything about them.
The way they look, the way they smell, the way they move
The way they feel, making love.
I can go on and on.

I love being able to notice things about my truck. Like recently, I noticed a slight vibration at about 60 mph... I thought to myself "I bet the u-joints need to be replaced".

I took it to my local shop today and said, "I've got a vibration, I think it's the u-joints". They take a look. A few hours later, they call me and say, "yep, they're definitely bad."

I've always like working on stuff. Snowmobiles, motorcycles, cars. I've replaced quite a few clutches, brakes, u-joints, cv-joints, head gaskets. Even rebuilt the engine in my '76 Mustang when I was about 19.

I pride myself on being able to figure out what is wrong with mechanical stuff.

I just started hanging out at the local McDonald's in the morning with a group of guys that is about 20 years older than I am. Our conversation this morning went something like this.

Person 1:The Grand Tetons are beautiful.
Me: Do you know what Tetons mean?
Person 1:No. What?
Me: Breasts. It seems the explorers saw them and thought, "those remind me of my wife"
Person 1:[chuckles] must have been wishful thinking. [general laughter]

Sorry to be negative, but I hate being a "dude". I hate it because as a man people expect me to be a man; strong, decisive, confident, works his way through difficulties and failures ... etc. I'm none of that. I'm very weak, mentally.

I'm a failure with women where most guys get excited to be a guy. I like women, but I hate myself near them. I've never approached (and thus loved or touched) one.

Would I feel the same if I were a woman? Probably. But the expectations are high for men, and the sympathy for them is very low. I don't ask for sympathy, I just want to live my life as a normal human being through the gender that I'm. I want to be reasonably confident, active, loving, be loved, compassionate, sociable, ... etc. I want to feel I'm living.

Sorry again for my negative post.

Hey there,

I understand EXACTLY how you feel. Actually, you described me more than you described yourself.

I guess that, when I wrote this post, I was feeling optimistic, so I wrote what I wrote. But, in honesty, I feel exactly how you do.

And, it is unfair.

I guess I'd agree with what you said, Allein. xD Pretty damn pleased I don't have that stuff that results in women going through cramps and what-not. x_x

I enjoy the earlier life expectancy and the prospects of prostate and testicular cancer. Plus, PMS, menstruation and the pain of childbirth sound like a drag.

Women are treated like prey sometimes. For example, they are generally at risk if they go out at night in questionable situations...let's say walking through a park, or down a dark street. I'm not so sure this is why I "love being a dude," but it's sometimes a fact men don't think about. To some extent, we have male privilege.

Actually, I got mugged doing just what you described. Lost about $3000 worth of stuff.

But I know what you mean.

You mean we don't live as long as women ? Yes, I love that too !

Prospects of cancer ? I would LOVE to have cancer, instead of the **** I've had throughout my life ... **** that people can't see.

Bringing another person into this *****ed up world ? No thanks.

I love being a dude

I had a struggling marriage for almost twenty years. Now that my wife and I are seperated and I have moved out we discovering a close friendship. I enjoy the time I spend with my wife now that we aren't quarreling all the time.

This sounds very very strange to me. I thought accepting that you can't be a women was part of growing up and every man hates being a man!

as a transgender (pre-hrt, planning on staying on the closet until I die) it sounds strange to me how you can like being a man
But I have to add, men clothing is amazing! I've never tried women's but they have so many pocket. and are super super comfy! they're like public pajamas! Getting ready for going out takes 5 seconds.
