If you listen to the loud , drum banging, feminist extremist groups then yes they are . Thankfully those groups don't represent the majority of women in the world . Like most radical groups their call for equality is actually a call for domination , and like other extremist groups , you ignore the nutters and let them get on with their sad insignificant existence .

Posts like this don't help a honest debate about male vs females.

Not that men are more obsolete, but rather, that the market is looking to find more potential in women, especially those who would do nothing all day
Nothing personal. Hah, maybe the time has come for men to rest a bit |

Not obsolete , but like females , I see them changing to suit a new environment in the future . Once upon a time the general path for a male was to be born , go to school , then get a job and have some fun with friends , meet a girl and fall in love , knuckle down A the job focusing on making more money to support the family . Work 50 years at that putting the needs of the family first and then hopefully retire , quite worn out but with the satisfaction that they have fulfilled their role .
With relationships changing the male may evolve to be more selfish and focussed on what they want out of there own life . So end result , with females quite rightly wanting to be more independent and wanting control of their lives , eventually the male role will change and they won't be so keen on signing up for family life . I still think that if you sweep away the more vocal views on relationships you will still find a core of our society who still feel comfortable with traditional roles of the male and female so it will be a while before there is a total change to roles . |

obsolete means no longer produced or used, defined by Google, I think. so men are not obsolete: they are still being produced from the womb. As for being used, I wouldn't mind if I wasn't being used like a puppet.

Takeshi, I just realized that a lot of those things are sex or marriage related. It might be targeting men, but men can also avoid those issue by staying away from sexual or marital situations. I guess I'm lucky, as I haven't had sex or married before.
As for women being drafted, I don't quite support the idea of men being drafted, but I also don't support the idea of women being drafted. Women in the army could be impregnated on the battlefield, which could lead to biological warfare and moral issues. In my religion, women stayed and took care of the homeland while the men fought; so if both women and men were drafted, then nobody would really be around to protect the homeland and children would be vulnerable. __________________ schizophrenia: https://forums.psychcentral.com/schi...and-psychosis/ men: https://forums.psychcentral.com/men-focused-support/ sex addicts: https://forums.psychcentral.com/sexual-addictions/ sex issues: https://forums.psychcentral.com/sexu...-gender-issues |

I have been treated so badly by modern feminists that I no longer want female friends. The abuse is unrelenting and they really can't do anything, ANYTHING better than men. They are petty and too emotionally driven. Frankly, the patrimony they are seeking to destroy was a much, much better world for everyone. There is no law that says a woman has to get married and start a family. I hope that laws protecting men's rights are passed because they are really needed.

Men are not obsolete........it’s just that radical feminists think they are just as equal to men in ways that are just not true. They are the ones who are destroying the nucleus of the family which holds civilization together.
Raising a family and taking care of children is probably one if not the hardest job in the world. The feminists have trivialized that role. We all have “ roles” to playin life. People in general, men and women , make the false assumption that we are all equal. Maybe as basic human beings , but that’s where it ends. We are not all equal. That’s reality. I don’t like seeing any human being mistreated. Male or female. Want to end here with this statement, “ women already rule the world , and they know it. “ __________________ Today is the first day of the rest of my life. *Disclaimer * Anything I have posted is strictly my own personal opinion or experience , and is in no way, shape, or form meant to portray a professional assesment of any kind. I've been seeing less gender-wise to the point where I could probably say that both men and women are obsolete. they can be seen as empty gender labels. I've been a virgin since birth and not dated before. I'm at a point in my life where I can say that I don't think I need the services of a woman. I might need human resources, but I don't think the gender of that human matters.

there wasn't much of a debate. sometimes women post in this subforum, even though they aren't suppose to. just ignore their posts.

The model of men as strong, protective, caring, and affirming will never be obsolete.

I don't know much about caring. I usually only care for those who care for me. there's no point in caring for those who spit on me, eh?
