Mother-enmeshed men. How to break free?

Hi. I am realizing this in myself, in my relationships with women, in my feeling special to my mom...
I ordered book, Silently Seduced.
Does anybody of you men have experiences with this subject?

well my religion helps me not think about family in that way. then there's the 18+ year gap between mothers and sons, and a woman is usually more interested in a man who's same-age or older. then I remember that my mom used to hurt me and my siblings when we were young; so if anything, I hate her.


also, remember that we are mentally ill men, so we are usually not in the right state of mind. your thoughts about your mom might not be mentally healthy.

back when I was a kid, at some point, I had thoughts about my mom. but yeah, it was also back when i was watching pornography, including the mother-son pornography. was really not good for my head. luckily i quit porn years ago.

there are plenty of women out there for you, my friend. it's better for you to find someone who won't be an old lady when you're still in your prime. from my experience, older women are not into younger men, especially when they are more than 18 years younger.


your mom might show affection, but that's motherly love and not necessarily romantic love. it can be easy to confuse the two maybe, especially with a mental illness.
