I was poking around on a body mass index calculator on the CDC's website. It listed me as Overweight (5'6", 175lbs), but that wasn't a surprise. What surprised me more is that I'm closer to being listed as Obese than I realized (only 10lbs). The problem is that I would have to lose 20 pounds to get back to Normal. I would need to get down under 155, but I've only been under that number for about 18 months (when I was around 24). I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to achieve a consistent 155, especially now that I'm in the 30s. I think it's much more likely for me to get up over 185 and enter obesity sometimes in the next 10 years. Not cool.

Is there anyone out there that has been able to achieve a consistent 15-25lb weight loss? I would be interested in your perspective.

hi David... im not up to date on indexing... im underweight, that i know... i eat little and my current diet contains a lot of healthy liquids.... just one sit down meal a day... due to unusual habits ive kept a low weight for several years...

i really have the opposite problem and need to gain weight, but maybe this could help you?

vegetable juices
protein drinks
power bars
skip a meal...

just some ideas...... of course you'd run the diet by your doc or check the nutricion elements on the web.....

long time no hear... hope you're well : )

LOL--I am listed as obese, I am 5' 7", 230 lbs. Shoulders the size of boulders and head the size of a car bmi...

The BMI sucks, basically, if you arent built like the "normal" man...

Do you exercise David? That combined with a slight reduction in calories could make a big difference.
