This is going to be a very simple thread add if u like ignore if u want

Have we failed each other ????

The reason why I asked this question is because I have been on this site for a quite bit of time. I got the needed support at the times that I needed it ..... So with that said I have been reading some posts In PC lately.

The same pattern is always there ..... oooo u need hugs .... ooo what u did was right ...... ooooo u r a bad person

what happened to the days of just listening to each other and having understanding that some are just utilizing this as a productive outlet ....

I dont want pity , i dont want fake hugs , somedays i want the damn answers

this is me ......

I put it in here cos i know this concept might be shared amongst us men logically speaking

no emotion here just David being david calling it black n white

if u think im onto something just give me a HELL YEAH

thats all im asking for if im off base just answer dude ur off base

i think its going somewhere Tymber....

the 'endless' cycle is getting old to me too...

im not sure its totally a guy thing, but yeah... i hear where you're coming from....

wanting things to improve myself...

you've done some good work at PC David... ive read your posts a while and you've been strong, caring, nurturing, and at times frail.... thats being human... thats being honest.... thats' facing it.....

i like the direction you're going with this.. thanks... some growth, some adjustments... acceptance.... could it all come together?

I just think if we could be supportive with each other....

just listen to what people have to say .....

get back to being a society of real people .... not fakers or people that dont know what too say sooo they just place a fake hug there ....
gheeez like this is going to make me feel better

i know at work i was, have been guilty of being less compassionate than i try to be...

i did, as a cashier, fall near the 'have a nice day' rut...

didnt like how that fit.. then, later, in a hardball capacity, had to be hard and 'by the book' .. that didnt feel right to me either...

a lot of causes i can think of... but you're right i think.... just need to look inside and re-light some of that good old forgotten friendliness to each other...

well tym, I've not been a member long enough to reply with a since of merit

but I do see the same old, same old, tell people what they want to hear, truth or not, and a few that combat those that say what the few don't want to hear..... over and over, truth or not

this is a support forum though, so I guess if giving false solace is what they are looking, then that is what they should recieve, it is not the place for truth and reality IMO,or my place to try to help bring anyone to the worlds truths, its just to give support when I can in what ever form it is implied for

but I still love to visit none the less , since there are some that are "real" IMO, and make it worth sifting through all the BS, to get to the good stuff

it was late this morning when I wrote that and I just got out of a 11-12 hour drive last night,so now I see your point, let me rephrase

what I ment is sometimes this is not the place to speak about truth or reality, since it can be triggering to some, and its better they hear what they need to hear , which is not the truth or reality sometimes IMO

far as the house, my wife loves it Have we failed each other ????

but I am ready to break ground on a new one on the back acre, she'll love it as well when I am done, construction is something I just love to do Have we failed each other ????

if you are interested in antique homes like me, I'll upload a few pics through pm,if you like, I really like the Brazilan Cherry flooring, though I should have probably just refinished the original yellow pine floors to stick more toward its authenticity as a farm house, but my wife wanted the floors to match the cabinets

Personally, I don't want b.s. and I don't want people to tell me what they think I want to hear. I prefer truth. One can be diplomatic about that. Poo-poohing someone isn't support. You can disagree with others' point of view without being mean about it--you simply disagree.

Lenny, did you make that stained glass window you're sitting next to?

scott, I feel the same

but some here just don't simply disagree, they fight tooth and nail, with a "if you ain't with us your against us" mentality IMO

nowhere...I think I'm gonna start a thread with pics about my haunted house, I just snapped some shots earlier and am letting my cameras battery charge to get a few more on my hard drive before I start it

Coral,
Very cool house. Very impressive that you did that yourself. Like the floors. I bet the flowers are going to be beautiful once they all bloom. There's nothing more beautiful than dogwoods and daffodils.

Well Scott,,,I cut the glass...LOL

I have found over the years that the less I try to control the outcome of anything, the better it works out.

I have walked a few windows to the dumpster that were all Lenny. These days I get out of the way and let "something(one)" else do the creating...

I think what's being struggled with here is the direct result of pc being a community. There are a lot of different types of people here with different ideas, approaches, expectations, etc. So yeah, you're going to get (((stereo))), you're going to get some b.s., and you'll even get social pressure to conform, but you'll also get people who think and feel like you do; sharing and responding with earnest, if not always popular, blunt honesty.

It's also important to note that some cases on this site are chronic and improvements are miniscule. This doesn't make them less important.

Finally, I don't know that PC will ever fix anyone. A better use for PC is to encourage those who are working towards better health with a professional in real life.

My two cents.

Cyran,

I agree with what you are saying and on the other hand most therapists want to change the thought patterns also. If you think negative you tend to run a negative life

If you think the world is crashing then you tend to feel out of control. I understand there is some degrees of mental issues or problems but what I dont appreciate is that if i ask point blank " hey am i wrong ? " and i get ooh no david you are right on base and i just killed someone ( example ) then that mentality is wrong

we are friends here we should be able to differ from truth / reality and falsehoods

my quarter sorry

david
