Circles5---

My family is NPD.

What I found intriguing about your post is you were a bit, how shall I say, "tipsy" when you posted this thread. In my family situation, the only time they communicate or express any type of "emotions" is when they're "tipsy". My bpd husband believes alcohol to be a type of "truth serum"....a psychoactive medium used to obtain/express information from folks who are otherwise unable or unwilling.

Interesting, huh? What do you think?

Well they do say the words of a drunken men are his sober thoughts..
Alcohol frees people from their imprisoned inhibitions, it's no wonder they spill the beans ever so delightfully.

Tipsy people are also really fun to mentally **** around with. Much more impressionable. And then you tell them what they did when they are sober & they get all kinds of rattled!! :P

In response to the OP, however... Usually the kind of upbringing that raises a Narcissistic Personality could also be one that results in anxiety. Or the inner thoughts of insufficiency could be enough to trigger anxiety. Or the anxiety was due to a biological factor & that caused you to be more susceptible to narcissism! All sorts of possibilities could be to blame for the co-morbidity.
