I saw my new psychiatrist last week. He's better than my last one, because he isn't a judgmental *****. I wanted to talk to him about my NPD, but he totally blew it off like it didn't matter. It was offensive, and made him look like a monumental douche after seeing an hour after my appointment was scheduled. It was disappointing, and made me feel like the experience of getting a new doctor was ruined. Anyone else had this kind of experience? Or am I alone in my griping?

I did. He essentially belittled it.

fabulousdivararity, When you go to your next appointment, explain to him that this is something you really want to discuss. Hope this time he will listen to your concern.

Sounds like a great doc to me IMO. I'd say he's trying to figure you out by judging your reactions (or at least that's why I'd do that). If you don't mind me asking, what was he concerned with talking about?
